About this Cause
Sometimes just knowing one person can bring you out of loneliness and connect you to a network of meaningful relationships. Sometimes all you need is a companion. Douglas County older adults are discovering friendships and regaining their independence through Neighbor Network’s companionship program. Every year, dedicated volunteers are matched with client members based on location and common interests to provide over 700 hours of companionship services. Whether it’s going out to the movies or staying at home playing cards, making that connection is what it’s all about. By giving to our Friends for Life Companionship Drive, you are helping seniors who are at risk of social isolation to stay active, independent and healthy. Thank you for your generosity, you are making a difference! To become a companion volunteer, please visit http://www.dcneighbornetwork.org/volunteers and click the green "Volunteer" button to apply.
